Zoe Van Rijn Named ACCC Player of the Week

Zoe Van Rijn has been on fire this season and has been awarded ACCC Player of the Week after leading the Lady Wildcats to a 3-0 week. Bishop was victorious over Bevill State (3-0), Enterprise State (3-0) and L.B. Wallace (3-2). All three matches were in a 3 day span.

The Moody, Alabama native averaged 3.09 kills per set while hitting .350. Van Rijn totaled 34 kills, 4 service aces, 46 digs and 3 blocks in 11 sets. Against Bevill State, Van Rijn was shy of a double-double with 10 kills while hitting at .562 with 8 digs and 4 service aces. The next day, Van Rijn completed that double-double with 10 kills and 17 digs in a victory over Enterprise State. Van Rijn finished the week off with another double-double against L.B. Wallace. She banged home 14 kills and a season high 21 digs.

On the season, Van Rijn has 70 kills at .341, 11 digs and 9 service aces.
